A Day and Night on the Sheep Draw Trail

A Day and Night on the Sheep Draw Trail

Being inspired by: Wes Bruce’s Art show that is up in the Atlas Gallery for the month of July.

Walking through this installation, I was impacted in ways that caught me off guard. All of the bits of stories, tiny collected pieces of nature, and the poetic words jotted on unusual surfaces stirred something unexpected in my heart. I feel like I still need some time to process where his artwork took me. But, it brought back memories of childhood adventures, made me question where I am in life now, and helped me see the world with fresh eyes. Thank you Wes for sharing this beautiful experience. I have not been so moved by a piece of art in a long time.

Here is the description of the show:

A Day & Night on the Sheep Draw Trail. April 29th 1946.We lived on the sheep draw trail until the day he was born. We thought every thought, wrote every word, conjured every image, & collected every leaf on a single day. We were full of life & also full of caverns. We learned to see more fully here. We thought about structures.

This July at the Atlas Gallery we invite you to come participate in the Artwork of Wes Bruce. Featuring a lifesize structure to explore & decipher. As well as illustrations & Artwork of the everyday. Come & experience A Day & Night on the Sheep Draw Trail.
