Featured Artist: Cookstah

I am excited to introduce a new series of posts on this blog featuring some of my favorite artists. And, of course, who better to start with than my partner in art crime and best friend, Kelly Cook. Kelly has really embraced her identity as an artist over the last 5 years. Her images are simple and sweet illustrations done on old book pages or using bits and pieces salvaged from old furniture, antique ephemera, and eclectic sources. By combining these little bits of stories, she creates images that feel as if they are bits of home – heartwarming and nostalgic (in the best possible way).
